Monster High is an American Fashion Line doll created by Garrett Sander, with illustrations by Kellee Riley. They were officially released in July 2010 but made in 2007.[1]
The characters are inspired by monster movies and horror fiction, distinguishing them from most fashion dolls. Although both are made by Mattel, Barbie and Monster High are said to be rivals.[2] The characters are depicted as being either related to or as offspring of famous monsters such as Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the Mummy, Medusa, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Phantom of the Opera, zombies, the Wolf Man, a werecat, ghosts, and the abominable snowman.
'Monster High: New Ghoul @ School', a 48-minute Halloween special created by Wildbrain Entertainment, aired on Nickelodeon on October 31, 2010. For the special, Allison Iraheta performed 2 songs: "Scars" and "Friday I'll Be over you". The special followed new student Frankie Stein's first week at Monster High, as she tries to fit in with the other students. Comcast's On Demand released the special before it aired on Nickelodeon.
'Monster High: Fright On', was a one-hour special that aired on Nickelodeon on October 27th, 2011.Things become troublesome when the vampires formerly from Belfry Prep and the werewolves formerly from Crescent Moon High bring their feud to Monster High, and a normie administrator insists on perpetuating the conflict.
'Monster High: Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love?', is a new special, slated to air on February 12th, 2012. It is the first special to have CGI Animation. The story mainly revolves around Draculaura when it's her Sweet 1600 & Valentine's Day at the same time. Everyone is excited, but when a new vampire guy comes to Monster High, things begin to get complicated. Draculaura is in love with Clawd & Valentine. She has to make the ultimate decision with a little help from C.A. Cupid the daughter of Eros. The Official trailer was released on Monster High's official YouTube account.'Monster High: Ghouls Rule!', is a new movie special. It will be made with Universal Pictures. It is set to be released on DVD Fall, 2012. It is currently unknown whether or not the film will air on Nickelodeon. In the special Frankie and the ghouls are ready to celebrate Halloween.
