The Monster Club (1980)

A fictionalised version of author R. Chetwynd-Hayes (Carradine) is approached on a city street by a strange man (Price) who turns out to be a starving vampire named Eramus. Eramus bites the writer, and in gratitude for the small "donation", takes his (basically unharmed but bewildered) victim to the titular club, which is a covert gathering place for a multitude of supernatural creatures. In between the club's unique music and dance performances, Eramus introduces three stories about his fellow creatures of the night.

Un auteur britannique de romans d'horreur est approché par un vampire nommé Eramus, qui lui boit un peu de son sang. Pour le remercier de cette petite « donation », il l'invite à son « Club des monstres » où les vampires, loups-garous, et autres créatures surnaturelles du tout Londres viennent se divertir. Eramus, qui voue une admiration à l'auteur, lui raconte trois histoires de créatures de la nuit qui pourraient l'inspirer dans ses prochains écrits, tout en regardant les spectacles divers montrés par le Club. Dans la première histoire, une créature hybride, nommée le Shadmock, tue ses victimes en sifflant. Dans la seconde, une paisible famille de vampires est attaquée par des chasseurs qui sont à la recherche du père depuis des années. Dans la troisième, un réalisateur de films d'horreur, parti à la recherche d'un village devant servir de décor pour son prochain film, tombe sur un patelin habité par des goules mangeuses de chair humaine. À la fin du film, Eramus demande aux autres membres du Club que l'auteur devienne le premier humain membre honoraire de leur association, ce qui est vite accepté.

Lo scrittore di romanzi horror Chetwynd-Hayes (Carradine) incontra il vampiro Eramus (Price): questi, dopo avergli succhiato il sangue, per sdebitarsi lo invita al suo esclusivo The Monster Club, i cui soci sono mostri del cinema. Durante la spiegazione dell'albero genealogico dei mostri, Eramus introduce lo scrittore nel suo mondo di orrore raccontandogli tre storie:
Episodio 1 Un distinto e triste signore inglese di nome Raven (Laurenson) cela un tremendo segreto: egli è uno Shadmock, un essere in grado di incenerire chiunque lo inganni o gli procuri infelicità con le vibrazioni del suo fischio. Per questo è definito Fischiamorte. Lo Shadmock assume una ragazza come segretaria (Barbara Kellermann), ma costei, con la collaborazione del fidanzato (Simon Ward) cerca di derubarlo. La punizione sarà più tremenda della morte: Raven le carbonizzerà il volto.
Episodio 2 Un bonario vampiro è fatto oggetto di caccia da parte di una squadra antivampiro capitaneggiata da un sanguinario poliziotto (Pleasence). Ma sarà proprio quest’ultimo, vampirizzato, a finire ucciso dai suoi stessi agenti.
Episodio 3 Sam (Whitman), regista horror,è alla ricerca di un villaggio in cui poter ambientare un proprio film horror: sfortunatamente, la sua ricerca lo porta in uno sperduto villaggio della campagna inglese popolato dai discendenti di un gruppo di Ghouls (mangiatori di morti) installatisi lì secoli prima. Appena arrivato, dopo un breve dialogo con un sinistro locandiere, cerca di andare via ma la sua Porsche 911 SC Targa è sabotata, non va in moto e si ritrova intrappolato. Miracolosamente sfuggito grazie all'aiuto di Luna, una ghouls che vuole andarse dal villaggio ma che verrà uccisa nella fuga, avrà la sfortuna di trovare un passaggio proprio da due Ghouls travestiti da poliziotti che lo riportano al villaggio in attesa che arrivino i "capi" ( probabilmente altri Ghouls che nel mondo degli uomini hanno assunto elevati ranghi di potere).
Finiti i tre racconti i mostri si lamentano che tra loro ci sia un umano ma il vampiro elenca le qualità dell'uomo : avido, malvagio, egoista, subdolo, assassino a livello globale e inventore di strumenti di morte e tortura.
In un'ovazione generale dei presenti "l'essere umano" viene autorizzato a rimanere nel club ed eletto mostro supremo.

Вампір Ерасмус запрошує письменника Четвінд-Хейса в Клуб монстрів, де чудовиська розповідають йому три історії.
Перша розповідає про вампіра-перевертня Рейвена, який живе на самоті через своє каліцтво. Він наймає дівчину Анжелу Джонс, щоб вона описала всі його антикварні коштовності. Під час роботи Анжела закохується в Рейвена і погоджується вийти за нього заміж. Але коли той дізнається, що у неї вже є чоловік, і вона хоче його пограбувати, Рейвен задумує жахливу помсту.
У другій історії письменник Лінт Бусотскі розповідає про своє дитинство, коли він не знав, що його батько — справжнісінький вампір, за яким полюють спеціальні мисливці на вампірів під керівництвом священика Пікерінга.
Третя історія розповідає про режисера фільмів жахів Сема, який шукає місце для зйомок свого нового фільму. Він знаходить селище, в якому живуть упирі та монстри.

The legend of the 7 golden vampires (1974)

Professor Lawrence Van Helsing (Peter Cushing) gives a lecture in 1904 at a Chongqing (Chungking) university on Chinese vampire legend. He speaks of an unknown rural village that has been terrorized by vampires for many years. After the lecture, a student (David Chiang) informs him that the legend is true and that he knows the location of the village. He then asks Professor Van Helsing if he would be willing to travel to the village and destroy the vampire menace. Van Helsing agrees and embarks with his son, the student and his seven kung-fu trained siblings on a dangerous journey funded by a wealthy widow (Julie Ege). Van Helsing and his party realize, however, that the Seven Golden Vampires, who are the ones wreaking havoc on the village, are actually acting under the guidance of Count Dracula himself, masquerading as a mad Taoist monk.

Il film è ambientato nel 1804 allorché un cinese si reca in Transilvania allo scopo di riuscire a reincarnare lo spirito del Conte Dracula su sé stesso. Ad impresa riuscita torna nel villaggio cinese di Pin Qwei a perpetrare le sue gesta vampiresche, coadiuvato da 7 vampiri ricoperti d'oro.

The Vampire Lovers (1970)

Le film se déroule dans la Styrie au XIX^e siècle et s'ouvre sur l'image d'une belle femme en déshabillé diaphane émergeant de la brume d'un cimetière. Elle rencontre le baron Hartog, un chasseur de vampires qui veut venger la mort de sa sœur. La jeune fille se révèle être un vampire quand sa poitrine est marquée par l'imposition du crucifix. Montrant ses crocs pour attaquer le baron, elle est promptement décapitée.
Le film commence ensuite avec une dame brune et mélancolique laissant sa fille Marcilla sous la garde du général von Spielsdorf et sa famille dans leur demeure styrienne. Marcilla devient rapidement l'amie de la fille du général, Laura. Cette dernière souffre de cauchemars et sa santé se détériore au point qu'elle en meurt. Marcilla disparaît de la maison du général.
Simulant un accident de voiture à cheval, la mère de Marcilla la laisse (à présent sous le nom de Carmilla) à la résidence de M. Morton. Là, Carmilla séduit Emma, la fille de Morton, mais sa fringale prend le dessus sur son affection, et Emma commence à s'étioler. Elle fait des cauchemars où son cœur est percé, et ses seins portent de petites blessures au réveil. La gouvernante d'Emma, Madame Perrodot, tombe aussi sous le charme érotique de Carmilla et devient l'instrument de sa volonté. Le maître d'hôtel et le docteur soupçonnent quelque chose d'étrange, surtout peu après la mort subite de plusieurs jeunes filles. Mais Carmilla les tue tous les deux. Un mystérieux homme en noir la surveille à distance, en souriant.
Maintenant, Carmilla peut s'emparer de l'innocente Emma…

In early 19th century Styria, a beautiful blonde (Kirsten Lindholm) in a diaphanous gown materialises from a misty graveyard. Encountering the Baron Hartog (Douglas Wilmer), a vampire hunter out to avenge the death of his sister, the girl is revealed as a vampire when her breast is seared by his crucifix. Baring her fangs to attack the Baron, she is swiftly decapitated.
Many years later, a sultry dark-haired lady leaves her daughter Marcilla (Ingrid Pitt) in the care of General von Spielsdorf (Peter Cushing) and his family at their Styrian mansion. Marcilla quickly befriends the General's niece, Laura (Pippa Steel). Laura suffers nightmares that she is being attacked, and her health deteriorates until she dies. Marcilla vanishes from the General's home.
Faking a carriage break-down, Marcilla's mother leaves her (now using the alias Carmilla) at the residence of a Mr Morton. Here, Carmilla befriends and seduces Morton's daughter Emma (Madeline Smith) but her need to feed overcomes her emotional attachment and Emma too begins to fade. Emma has nightmares of being pierced over the heart, and her breast shows tiny wounds. Emma's governess, Mme. Perrodot (Kate O'Mara) also falls victim to Carmilla's erotic blandishments and becomes her willing tool. Some in the household, the butler and a doctor, suspect what might be happening, especially in the wake of several local girls suddenly dying, but Carmilla kills each one. All the while, a mysterious man in black (clearly also a vampire) watches events from a distance, smiling (his presence is never explained).
After Carmilla kills the butler, having convinced him that Mme. Perrodot is a vampire then persuaded him (with her womanly charms) to remove the garlic protecting Emma, Carmilla goes to Emma's bedroom. She says she must go away, but is taking Emma with her. A desperate and sick Madame begs Carmilla to take her with her. Carmilla kills her, in front of a horrified Emma. Emma is barely rescued by a young man named Carl (Jon Finch) who fashions a makeshift cross from his dagger. Carmilla flees to her nearby ancestral castle, now a ruin.
All this coincides with the arrival of the General, who brings with him a now-aged Baron Hartog. They find Carmilla's grave, where she sleeps. Her eyes open, and interestingly enough she makes no move to defend herself. The General lifts a stake—and back in her bedchamber Emma screams "No!"—then drives it into Carmilla's heart. He then cuts off her head. Carmilla's portrait on the wall decays, showing now a fanged skeleton instead of a beautiful young woman.

Las Amantes Vampiro (en inglés The Vampire Lovers) es la primera película de la Trilogía de los Karnstein basada en el relato Carmilla, la mujer-vampiro creada por el escritor Sheridan Le Fanu.
Esta versión de la Hammer Productions introdujo el erotismo y el lesbianismo a sus historias vampíricas, un filón que seguiría siendo explotado en los siguientes films del género.
Basada en 'Carmilla' de Sheridan le Fanu, incluida en su obra 'In a Glass Darkly'. Adaptada por Harry Fine. 'Carmilla' es un vampiro bastante alejado de la figura de Drácula: pasea a la luz del día (eso sí, por la sombra), come y bebe como cualquier persona, no necesita acudir diariamente a la tumba y posee la capacidad de desintegrarse.
The Vampire Lovers es la película que marca el inicio de la decadencia de la Hammer, causada por varias razones: la necesidad de buscar novedades en las tramas de unas películas que tenían como protagonistas a unos personajes bastante agotados, la reducción drástica de presupuestos en clara relación con el descenso de recaudaciones y el hecho de que otros países europeos (Alemania, Italia, España, a menudo en coproducción) empezaron a producir en masa producciones baratas, pero rentables, del género. Estas películas tenían presupuestos ridículos, pero conseguían buenas recaudaciones porque tenían más sangre y, sobre todo, más sexo que las de la Hammer; así pues la productora inglesa no quiso quedarse atrás.

El film fue conocido en España como Amores de vampiros, en Argentina como Las amantes vampiro y en México como Amor entre vampiros.

La figlia del generale Spielsdorf, Laura, diventa intima amica di Marcilla. Ammalatasi per cause ignote, Laura muore e Marcilla scompare misteriosamente. Per svelare il mistero di questo e di altri decessi sospetti, Spielsdorf chiede aiuto ad un noto cacciatore di vampiri.

Несколько лет спустя она появляется под именем Марцилла у генерала Шпильсдорфа и знакомится с его племянницей Лаурой . У обеих девушек развиваются лесбийские отношения, что для Лауры является очень опасным: однажды она найдена полностью обескровленной. Миркалла же исчезает и через какое-то время вновь появляется, но уже под именем Кармилла и знакомится с лучшей подругой Лауры Эммой Мортон . Когда отец Эммы Роджер отправляется по свои делам, Кармилле удается заманить в свои сети Эмму, а также ее гувернантку.

Управляющий Рентон, обеспокоенный происходящим, связывается с доктором и, несмотря на скепсис последнего, принимает меры, которые в данной местности считаются эффективными против вампиров, а также сообщает о происходящем хозяину. Но уже поздно. Когда Эмму находят также обескровленной он вместе с Шпильсдорфа и Хартогом и бывшим женихом Лауры Карлом отправляются на поиски Кармиллы. Юноша пытается спасти Эмму, обезглавив вампиршу, но та развоплощается. Тем временем Хартог, генерал и Мортон находят гроб с телом Миркаллы. Шпильсдорф вбивает ей в грудь осиновый кол, а затем обезглавливает.
